Owner Jeremy Johnston graduated with honors and began working in 1997 for an architecture firm in Kentucky. Feeling a stronger desire to work with residential design vs. commercial design, Jeremy soon opted for his own company, and started West Kentucky Illustrating.

 However, and very surprisingly quick, word spread, and he became the area's premier designer, thus raising the question: Would a new business name be more beneficial by not limiting the company to a certain region?

 Soon, Jeremy C. Johnston Design Company became the name, and remained that way until 2007, when Jeremy decided that a name to reflect his values was a better choice. Studio 725 was just that name.
